The library offers a number of specialized services for your convenience. Select the tab to get more details about each of our services. Some services are fee-based to cover the library's costs to provide these services.
The library offers public computers and wi-fi. Desktop computers are located on the second floor of the library and staff at the help desk can assist you with getting a library card for computer access. Wi-fi is available throughout the library; the kiosk to obtain a username and password is on the first floor of the library near the public catalog look-up station. Computer and wi-fi access is free. There is a fee for printing which can be done through the library's computers or wirelessly.
The library has a self-serve fax machine on the 2nd floor.
Fees for faxing are 25 cents per page.
Self-serve faxing is a lower cost based on charges incurred by the library. Self-serve faxing is sent via internet and is more economical than transmitting a fax via a dedicated telephone fax line. If you require staff assistance for faxing, rates are 50 cents per page.
A no-cost option for sending files is to scan a document and send it to the recipient as an email attachment. Library staff can help you with instructions for how to scan and send documents.
The library has self-serve copiers on both floors. The first floor copier is coin-only. The second floor copier will accept credit cards.
The library has a self-serve print station on the second floor. Print from library computers or use our wireless printing service.
Fees for copying and printing are:
0.15 / page for black & white printing
0.50 / page for color printing
The library has notary services during most hours of operation. To be sure there is a notary available, call the library to make an appointment at 304-627-2236. This is a free service. Please be aware that both of our notaries have primary job duties in departments that may be busy depending on the time of your visit and there may be a wait.
The Clarksburg-Harrison Public Library is a passport acceptance facilty. The library accepts passport applications on behalf of the U.S. Department of State. U.S. citizens
planning international travel may apply for passports by appointment only. Call the library at 304-627-2236 to schedule your appointment. For application forms, information on documentation required, fees, and a wealth of other passport and international travel information, visit the official website for passport information - travel.state.gov. The library does not take passport photographs so you will need to bring those with you to your appointment.
