Welcome to Summer Reading - Dig Deeper! This summer is a little different.  Programs will be online and we'll be using a new site where you can track your reading and program participation and earn badges.  There will be great incentives you can earn as you go along and a chance to win several grand prizes.  Register by May 15 to get a free summer reading packet with everything you'll need to participate in programs from home.  You can register by filling out the form below or by calling the library at 304-627-2236.  Parents, you can register more than one child on the same form, just be sure to include ages so we'll know which packet they will need. 

CHILDREN (Ages 1 - 10)

We'll dig into topics like plants and fossils, do fun science activities, reads some great stories, and relax with some yoga and meditation. Packets with a calendar and a description of events, crafts and items that you will need to participate in online programs will be provided.  Miss Erica is looking forward to spending time with you this summer to read, learn and have some fun!

TWEENS/TEENS (Ages 11-18)

We have an exciting virtual program scheduled for this summer!  Join us for coding, plant presses, herbariums, Appalachian culture, birds of prey, mindfulness, magic, games and more!!  Register now to get your free summer reading packet with lots of goodies including materials for a DIY plant press & herbarium, bracelet beads for Job's tears, and the full lineup of fun activities and programs. (You can still register up until June 6, but materials may not be available for some programs.)

Packet Pick Up Dates:

Kick-off at the Curb:  Saturday, May 30 from 12 pm-3 pm - Get your summer reading packet delivered curbside.  Harry the Book Hound will be on hand to help.

Additional Pick Up Days:  Monday, June 1 from 10 am - 6 pm & Saturday, June 6 from 10 am - 1 pm, packets available for curbside pickup.  Just call when you arrive at the library and we'll deliver the summer reading packet to your car.
